Compression fitting

A compression fitting is a liquid-tight connection of pipes or hoses. Crimps are example for the connection of sanitary facilities or in aquariums used.

The components of a compression fitting are: union nut, clamping cone, insert ring and pinch seal (rubber ring).

By loosening the nut, the conically converging, is compressed over the clamping cone of the sealing ring. The insert ring ensures that the rubber gasket is not twisted and is thus damaged. The insert ring is pressed against the pinch seal, which creates a seal between the two lines.
