Compton Bennett
Compton Bennett ( born January 15, 1900 in Tunbridge Wells, Kent; † August 13, 1974 in London) was a British film director.
Life
Compton Bennett began his career in the film industry as an editor. After a few short films and training company for the British Army, his first full-length feature film, " The Seventh Veil " was a great success, which earned him a contract with a U.S. film company. In Hollywood, however, Bennett was less successful and returned early 50s back to England. His other films are no longer came to the public, and so he could only occasionally work from the 60s for television.
