Computer-aided engineering

The computer- aided design (English computer- aided engineering and briefly called CAE ) includes all variants of the computer support of work processes in the art.

The following subsections are known:

  • CAD ( computer-aided design, computer- aided design )
  • Digital Mock-Up (DMU, installation and removal tests, collision tests and Baubarkeitsprüfungen )
  • Diskretisierungssoftware (creation of computational grids )
  • Electromagnetism simulations (FEM, FDTD, FIT)
  • Electronics simulation ( circuit design and simulation )
  • Ergonomics analysis (Human Modeling)
  • Fluid Structure Interaction (FSI, fluid, structural and thermal coupling )
  • Kinematics and rigid body simulations
  • Multi-body simulation (MBS )
  • Mechanical stress of components and modules ( FEM)
  • NC programming and simulation ( CAM)
  • Computer-aided quality assurance CAQ
  • Statistical simulations ( Design for Six Sigma)
  • Flow simulations using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD )
  • Thermal simulations ( FEA and CFD)
  • Managing simulation data (Simulation Data Management)
  • Computer Aided Engineering
