Concordius of Spoleto

Concordius († 175? Spoleto ) was a Christian martyr and saint.

Concordius was a sub-deacon of Rome, said to have fled the city due to the persecution of Christians in the time of Emperor Marcus Aurelius - in fact, a Christian persecution under this emperor not delivered. Concordius was then captured by Torquatus, the governor of Umbria in Spoleto, because he refused to sacrifice to the Roman gods. Concordius had been beheaded then.

Concordius is venerated as a saint. His feast day is January 1. Later said to have been transferred to Girona in Spain his bones; this translation is celebrated on July 4.
