Concours de Saut International

Concours de Saut International ( CSI) is the name for an international oriented by the FEI show jumping tournament.

CSI

International show jumping tournaments that are advertised for all age groups will be divided into one of five categories since 2003, which is characterized by the number of stars (depending on spelling CSI * to ***** CSI CSI or CSI 1 * to 5 * ). The classification is done based on the amount of the prize money, the minimum height for each category is determined by the FEI annually. Also differ with the requirements of tournaments, for example, by the maximum height of the obstacles depending on the category.

Tournaments that would advertised today as CSI 1 *, were referred to 1996 as CSF from 1997 to 2002, the designation CSIC was provided. According to CSI 2 * Tournaments were referred to 1996 as a CSA and from 1997 to 2002 CSIB. Tournaments, now called CSI 3 *, 4 * or 5 * would be advertised, were referred to 1996 as CSI and from 1997 to 2002 CSIA.

CSIO

With the expansion Officiel ( CSIO ) is the official international show jumping competition of a country called. Each country may enter only one tender per year CSIO. In Germany, this is held every year as part of the CHIO Aachen, in Switzerland as part of the CSIO St. Gallen instead. An exception is the 100th CSIO Germany in 2015. This will not take place as usual in Aachen, but in Mannheim. As part of the CSIO tournaments each and the Nations of the country takes place. CSI -W

Tournaments which are part of the FEI World Cup Jumping, are advertised 5 * -W depending on the category as CSI 1 * - W to CSI. These tournaments are for the World Cup World Cup rules regarding special inspections of the field.

Additional call types

International tests the ages of the Pony Riders ( CSIP ), Children ( CSICh ), Juniors ( CSIJ ) Young Riders ( CSIY ), U25 - riders ( CSIU25 ) and seniors ( CSIV ) as well as for amateurs ( CSIAm ), even if they under discharged from other CSI tournaments are advertised as its own CSI. They are classified with the additives A and B ( for example as CSIU25 -A).

In addition, it is possible, as in the age group of riders, each state and age group, the orientation of a Nations Cup Tournament. These are not further classified.

Other separate CSI tenders are for young jumping horses ( CSIYH ) and riders ( CSIL ) is possible. Own CSI tournaments for riders, however, have only played in France. Here one or two stars are awarded for classification.

Pay

Worldwide 313 jumping tournaments were held in 1995. In 2009, these 946 CSI tournaments.
