Conejos County, Colorado

The Conejos County [ konexos ] ( from the Spanish for " rabbit " ), formerly Guadalupe is a ( County) in the south of the U.S. state of Colorado. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Conejos.

Geography

The county was named after the river that flows through the serpentine large part of the district. On the western edge of the San Luis Valley, it extends from the Rio Grande (Rio Bravo ) to the San Luis Mountains on the Continental Divide.
