Confédération générale des travailleurs tunisiens

The Confédération générale des travailleurs tunisiens ( CGTT ) (about: Association of Tunisian Workers ) was a workers' movement, founded by Mohamed Ali El Hammi in Tunisia in January 1925 of syndicalism.

The CGTT was the first independent labor movement within the French colonial empire and the first Tunisian labor movement. The CGTT endeavored to combine the emerging at that time in the country labor movements under their leadership and organized labor struggles throughout the country. The leadership of the French administration of the Protectorate, however, it quickly succeeded to push back the movement to arrest the leaders of the labor movement and to banish into exile. Those affected include El Hammi belonged.

Later, the CGTT was dissolved.
