Congregation of Saint Michael the Archangel

The Congregation of the Holy Archangel Michael ( Order code: CSMA for Congregazione di san Michele arcangelo, Michael Orden, Michaelites ) is a Catholic religious institute.

In 1892, the Galician priest Bronislaw Markiewicz, following the example of Don Bosco the Society for moderation and work that took the burning social issues of the day. In particular, she was active for orphans, for example through the establishment of boarding schools.

1910 inaugurated Markiewicz his work to the Archangel Michael. Since its recognition by the Archbishop of Kraków, Cardinal Sapieha, in 1921, the Community shall contribute its present name " Congregation of the Holy Archangel Michael". The Papal confirmation was made in 1966. Fathers and Brothers of the Congregation live according to the evangelical counsels of chastity, poverty and obedience for his own rule and its own statutes. In addition to social work, the Congregation also leads retreats through, works in the mission and are religious writings out.
