Congress of the People (Trinidad and Tobago)

Congress of the People (COP ) is a social liberal party in Trinidad and Tobago.

After disputes in the United National Congress Basdeo Panday and Winston Dookeran between Dookeran founded on September 10, 2006 Congress of the People. In the elections for the House of Representatives in May 2010, the COP was formed along with four other parties, the electoral coalition People's Partnership. The party currently provides six MPs in the House of Representatives and the Finance Minister Dookeran.
