Conleth Hill

Conleth Hill ( * November 24, 1964 in Ballycastle ) is a Northern Irish theater, television and film actor.

Career

Hill was born in Northern Ireland, County Antrim. He is known primarily as a long-time stage actor and appeared in numerous diverse plays. This work has taken him on many stages in Ireland, England, Scotland and New York City. His Broadway debut, he celebrated with the play Stones in His Pockets, for which he was nominated for a Tony Award in 2001.

In addition to his theater work, Hill was also seen repeatedly in television series and movies in various supporting roles. In 2008, he embodied in the British comedy show Peter Kay's Britain's Got the Pop Factor ... and Possibly a New Celebrity Jesus Christ Soap star Superstar Strictly on Ice as a Mum of the major roles. Since 2011 he has been seen in the epic HBO television series Game of Thrones as mysterious Lord Varys.
