Connor James

Connor James ( born August 25, 1982 in Calgary, Alberta ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who is since 2012 in the Nuremberg Ice Tigers of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga under contract.

Career

Connor James began his career as a hockey player in his hometown at the Calgary Royals, for which he was active in the 1999/2000 season in the Alberta Junior Hockey League. He then played four years for the team from the University of Denver. During this period, he was selected in the NHL Entry Draft in the ninth round in 2002 when a total of 279 players from the Los Angeles Kings. First, the attacker ran in the 2004/05 season for their farm team, the Bakersfield Condors of the ECHL and the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League at the first time in professional hockey, before the following season his debut for the LA Kings in the National Hockey League, announced where he remained point and impunity in two games in his rookie year.

August 9, 2006 James was awarded a contract as a free agent with the Pittsburgh Penguins, for their AHL farm team Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins he mainly was used in the next three years and with whom he in the 2007/ 08 season Calder Cup final to the Chicago Wolves defeated. During the season 2008/ 09 he also held the office as a team captain in the farm team of the Penguins. For the 2009/10 season, the Canadians received a contract with the Augsburg Panthers in the DEL. At the end of the season were James and the German Panther runner-up.

Due to a highly doped contract offer he has left the Augsburger Panthers after one season again, and puts in the season 2010/2011 for the DEG Metro Stars skates. The fast skater was able to establish itself in the second attack formation of DEG and plays there with his Augsburg teammate Tyler Beechey and Evan Kaufmann. His personal plus / minus balance he increased from 6 to 16.

For the season 2012/13 season, James moved to the Nuremberg Ice Tigers, where he extended his contract on December 3, 2013 by a further two years.
