Work

The origin of the career of his training and the personal circumstances of the busy and well-traveled student Arnold of Westphalia are not known exactly and are based only on conjecture. In contrast, leaves the baumeisterliche work Conrad Pflüger, who especially enjoyed as an expert in the vault of late Gothic churches in high esteem, prove good for the time from 1477 to 1506.

1477 the later architect and builder was first mentioned as Parlier Arnold of Westphalia († 1480), whose main work, the Albrecht Castle Meissen, he completed between 1480/81 and 1483. After that Pflueger involved in the construction of the castle rock hard in Torgau, on the construction of Moritzburg in Halle Wittenberg and the construction of the castle including the Castle Church. In addition, he worked together with his parleying Blasius Börer and Urban Laubanisch, in the establishment of the Holy Sepulchre and the Church of St. Peter and Paul in Görlitz, the construction of the St. Thomas Church in Leipzig, the construction of the Cross Church in Dresden and the construction of the St. Annen Church in Annaberg with. Likewise tiller will also be awarded some advice and designs for the rebuilding of St. Nicholas Church and the new building of St. Peter's Church in Leipzig.

Conrad Pflüger often resulted from the floor plans of the building project and personally led the particularly difficult vault of the churches. The respected architect was able to on a well-functioning network - consisting of builders, parleying and masons - fall back and engaged in a lively exchange of ideas and experiences on the also working in Saxony builders Claus Roder, Peter of Pirna and Jacob von Schweinfurt, the agreement in case construction projects discussed and influence each other in their work.

Between 1490 and 1497 Pflueger took up his residence in Görlitz, where he held the office of city architect. The Duke of Saxony foreman moved in 1498 because of the construction of the Dresden to Meissen Cross Church and lived around 1505/ 06 in Leipzig. Then the trace of the coveted professional loses. It is therefore assumed that Conrad Pflüger 1506 or 1507 died in Leipzig.
