Conrad Vernon

Conrad Vernon ( born July 11, 1968 in Lubbock, Texas ) is an American film director, screenwriter, animator and voice actor.

Life

Conrad Vernon was born in Lubbock ( Texas), where he also grew up. Very early on he had chosen a future career in the film industry, especially the animated films had it done to him. So he enrolled in after school at the California Institute of the Arts, where John Lasseter, Brad Bird, Kelly Asbury or were trained. 1992 was one of his first works in the animation industry drawing some characters in the action comedy Cool World, the live action combined with animation animations. This Vernon opened a door into the Animation business. From then on, he worked on animated TV shows like Rocko 's Modern Life, Dexter 's Laboratory or 2 Stupid Dogs. Eventually, he was hired in 1994 as a storyboard artist for the Simpsons.

DreamWorks Animation

In 1996, Vernon took a position as a storyboard artist at Dreamworks Animation. There he worked on Antz 1998, the first computer animated film of the company. Vernon acquiesced so well in the team at DreamWorks one that he participated in the production of Shrek 2001. Besides his work as a draftsman, he borrowed the gingerbread man from the movie his voice. After 2004 he received the offer alongside Andrew Adamson and Kelly Asbury to lead the co-directed Shrek 2. He also took speaking roles in several DreamWorks productions such as Sinbad, Madagascar and Bee Movie. In 2009, Vernon led together with Rob Letterman directed in Fim Monsters vs. Aliens in the cast as Reese Witherspoon, Seth Rogen and Hugh Laurie participated. He took over two years, his debut as a director in an adaptation of the Saturday morning cartoon series Lidsville from the 1970s.
