Conrad Voss Bark

Conrad Voss Bark, actually Conrad Voss Bark Lyddon, ( born March 9, 1913 in Cottingham (East Riding of Yorkshire ), † 23 November 2000) was an English journalist and writer.

Life

Bark completed his schooling at Hymers College in Hull and attended Bristol Grammar School. Subsequently, he earned his living with all sorts of odd jobs. In 1935, he got a job as a journalist at The Hampstead News; later he moved to Golders Green Gazette.

Throughout the Second World War Bark worked in London at the Ambulance Service. Immediately after the war he returned to Bristol, and served there for a short time as editor of the Western Daily Press. In the spring of 1947 he went to London and became a journalist and editor at The Times.

In 1951, he became the first journalist for the BBC produced a live report on television.

He was married four times and left several children.

Reception

As a journalist Bark was primarily known for his political comments. In addition to his technical books on fly fishing, which have been appreciated by many (and still are ), created some highly valued by the audience detective novels. These invented Bark 1962 " Detective Mr. Holmes ," and to whom he dedicated some of his works in a row.
