Consequence (rapper)

Consequence (actually Dexter Raymond Mills Jr.) (born 14 June 1977) is an American rapper from Queens, New York City.

Biography

Consequence was an unofficial member of the " A Tribe Called Quest " crew. After the crew dissolution in 1998, he moved from label to label, but never had luck. After many successful mixtape releases ( " All Sales Are Final", "Make The Game Come To You," " Take Em To The Cleaners ", " The Comeback Kid ", "A Tribe Called Quence: 1995-2004 "), which already count as a mixtape classic in the Hip Hop world, and finally Kanye West became aware of him. In 2002 he met through his friend and producer 88 Keys Kanye West know. Thus began his music career. Consequence signed in 2005 at the newly founded by Kanye West label GOOD Music.

Consequence is the cousin of rapper Q-Tip.

In 2007 he released his first album Do not Quit Your Day Job, on which are, among others, John Legend, DJ Khaled and Kanye West present with guest contributions.

Since 2011 Consequence is no longer a member of GOOD Music.
