Consigliere

Consigliere [ konsiʎʎɛ ɾe ː ] (Italian councilor, counselor ) (plural: Consiglieri ) is a term for a consultant or counselor.

Italian Town Councils hot consiglieri, members of the Swiss Federal Council called in Italian-speaking Switzerland as well.

Organized Crime

Another meaning of the word is the Consigliere, who is working for the mafia, particularly the U.S. La Cosa Nostra or the Sicilian Cosa Nostra. He acts in a figurative sense as a staff position of the head of the family and exercise usually no direct command authority from. So far known no more than three active counselor per family.
