Constant Vanden Stock Stadium

RSC Anderlecht

The Constant Vanden Stock Stadium is a football stadium in Anderlecht, a municipality of the Brussels-Capital region of Belgium. It is the home stadium of the Belgian football club RSC Anderlecht.

History

1917, the stadium was on the edge of Parc du Meir (later Astrid Park), consisting of a single wooden stand built, it was called the Stade Émile Versé. Over the years, followed by other tribunes, and later also of concrete. In 1983 the stadium was completely rebuilt at the same location, the new building was named after the then President of the RSC Anderlecht, Constant Vanden Stock.

At national meetings, the stadium now offers space for 26,361 spectators (including about 1,500 business and 400 in VIP boxes ). For international games, the 6,900 standing places that still exist at national level, converted into seats, which considerably reduces the capacity. The stadium is located next to a coffee shop and the one-star restaurant Saint- Guidon and the official club fan shop.

Anderlecht is currently planning an expansion of the stadium to 40,000 seats and a renamed " Fortis Stadium ". The Fortis Bank is the main sponsor of the RSC Anderlecht.
