Constantin Budeanu

Constantin Budeanu ( born February 28, 1886 in Buzău, † February 27, 1959 in Bucharest ) was a Romanian electrical engineer who states in electrical power networks researched and was involved in the development of the International System of Units.

Life and work

Budeanu studied using a V. Adamachi scholarship he had won after the completion of studies in Bucharest, Paris electrical engineering. He suggested the name " var" for the reactive electric power.
