Constantino Zaballa

Constantino Zaballa Gutierrez ( born May 15, 1978 in La Hayuela ) is a Spanish cyclist.

Career

Zaballa was 2001 Kelme -Costa Blanca professional. There he took the only successes each a stage win in the Tour de l' Avenir and Portugal Tour in his first year. In 2004 he moved to Saunier Duval - Prodir then and was the 19th stage of the Vuelta a España decide for themselves. His most successful year he had in the 2005 season when he was third in Paris-Nice and won the ProTour race Clasica San Sebastián for themselves. He took for the second time in the Tour de France, but had to give up already on the 5th stage.

Zaballa will be accused involved in the doping scandal Fuentes. In March 2012, he has been banned for nine months because he tested positive for ephedrine.
