Constanze Angela Krehl

Constanze Angela Krehl ( born October 14, 1956 in Stuttgart ) is a German politician and since 1994 MEP for the SPD in the Socialist Group in the EP.

Life and career

Krehl is living in Leipzig since 1957, earned her high school here in 1975 and then studied at the Technical University of Dresden, which she left in 1980 as a computer scientist. Until 1984, she worked as a computer scientist in different data centers, then it was the next five years no longer employed as a housewife.

In 1998 she was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit bestowed on ribbon.

In the fall of 1989, she became involved in the New Forum and joined the following January the SPD. She was until 1996 a member of the Executive Board of the Saxon SPD, deputy state chairman until 1999 and then to 2004 state chairman of the SPD Saxony was then.
