Constanze Moser-Scandolo

Constanze Moser- Scandolo ( born July 4, 1965 in Weimar) is the first Erfurt world champion in speed skating.

She started for the GDR and the SC Turbine Erfurt and trained in the group " Gabi foot" with Gunda Niemann and Heike Schalling. In 1972 she started in the TZ Weimar with their sporting development. 1989 was the most successful year in their sporting careers. This year they won the World Championship the " all-rounder " in Lake Placid and the Gesamtweltcub at 1500m.

They fought for a place at the Olympic Winter Games in Calgary in 1988. Due to an injury during running they had to cancel the race a few minutes before the start. In 1990, she was at the World Cup again a third party. After the birth of her daughter Elisa Moser on November 27, 1990, she ended her successful athletic career. Today she works in a Thuringian State Ministry.
