Constituencies of Iceland

Since 2003, there are six constituencies in Iceland ( kjördæmi ).

Through this subdivision Islands is to be achieved, that about the same number of votes is required for each parliamentarian. Between 1959 and 2003, Iceland had eight constituencies, from 1844 to 1959 there were 32 constituencies.
