Construction Time Again is the third studio album by British synthpop band Depeche Mode.

In this album, the band continued first time the common today, but then fledgling sampling technique be included in the first single sounds (samples ) and then assembled into a song. The song pipeline, from the text of the name of the album is taken from there, for example, almost entirely from samples. Included were not only instruments but also sounds that are generated by everyday and especially metal objects. This sound also coined the following albums by Depeche Mode.

Construction Time Again is the first album on which Alan Wilder was involved as a member of the band. It was recorded at London's The- Garden - Studio by John Foxx and mixed at Hansa Studios in Berlin. For later albums, the band always returned to Berlin.

Title list

All songs were written by Martin Gore, except for Two Minute Warning and The Landscape is Changing, composed by Alan Wilder. Gore sings the song pipeline and most of the backing vocals. Dave Gahan all other songs.

The B-side to Everything Counts, Work Hard, is one of four songs that Martin Gore and Alan Wilder wrote together. The others are Black Day ( with Daniel Miller, a version of Black Celebration), as well as the instrumentals The Great Outdoors! and Christmas Island.

The different versions of Love, in Itself were numbered: Love, in Itself 1 is the version on the album, Love, in Itself 2 of the Single Edit, Love, in Itself 3 of the Extended Mix of the 12 " single and Love, in Itself 4 is a version in lounge style.

Re-Release

On 23 March 2007, a re-release of Construction Time Again was released as a hybrid SACD and DVD. The DVD includes the album tracks in surround sound (Dolby Digital 5.1 and DTS) and the following bonus tracks:
