Consumer Electronics Association

The Consumer Electronics Association ( CEA) is a trade association for electronic consumer product in the United States. The CEA organizes the annual Consumer Electronics Show.

The CEA was created in late 1999 by renaming the Consumer Electronics Manufacturers Association ( CEMA ) and establishment as a separate organization. The CEMA, the mid-1990s, approximately 400 companies involved with about 700 plants in the United States, was a sector of the Electronic Industries Association ( EIA).
