Convention People's Party

The Convention People's Party (CPP ) is a political party in Ghana, which is currently represented with 230 seats in the Ghanaian Parliament in 2008.

Today's CPP sees himself in the tradition of the CPP was founded in 1949 Osagye Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, Prime Minister of the Gold Coast in 1952 and first Präsidente the Republic of Ghana from 1960. Ideology

Within the party, there is no aspirations regarding the formation of a national Ghanaian consciousness. Rather, lives in the CPP of Pan-African idea further, after the CPP of freedom and dignity of all Africans committed to independence and the process.

In foreign policy, the party supported the Venezuelan president Nicolas Maduro. Also, the CPP showed their welcome to visit by Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
