The Cook Glacier (French Glacier Cook or calotte glaciaire Cook) is the largest ice cap of belonging to France Kerguelen Archipelago in the southern Indian Ocean and the largest glacier on French territory. It is located in the extreme west of the main island of Grande Terre and covers an area of ​​approximately 500 km ². The highest elevation of the glacier, Le Dôme called, is located at 1049 m above sea level. The glacier is named after James Cook, who explored the archipelago in 1776 on his third Pacific voyage.
