Copitz is since 1923 a district of the right bank of Pirna in the district of Saxon Switzerland & Eastern Ore Mountains.
History
The 1417 first mentioned place on the Wesenitz is probably of Slavic origin. Excavations in the area of Copitz -west was found Bronze Age artifacts (such as fish hooks made of bronze ). As one of the earliest mentioned mills in the region is considered the bridge mill ( 1304).
From the vantage point of " Beautiful altitude " you have a beautiful view of the city of Pirna and Castle Sunstone.
