Coquelles

Coquelles is a commune of 133 inhabitants ( 1 January 2011) in the Pas -de- Calais, in the Nord -Pas -de -Calais. It belongs to the canton of Calais -Nord -Ouest and the community association Communauté d' agglomà you Calaisis.

The community is situated between Calais Coquelles in the Northeast and the Cap Blanc -Nez in the southwest on the English Channel coast.

In the near Coquelles is the entrance and the terminal for Euro Tunnel. At that vehicles are loaded for transport to and from the UK to the Euro Tunnel shuttle.

In the village you can visit the old windmill, the ruins of a castle and the remains of a church dating from the twelfth century.
