Corinne Wasmuht
Corinne Wasmuth (* 1964 in Dortmund ) is a German painter.
Life
Corinne Wasmuth grew up in Peru and Argentina; Since 1983 she works as an artist in Germany. From 1983 to 1992 she studied at the Art Academy in Dusseldorf ( master student of Alfonso Hüppi ). Corinne Wasmuth lives in Berlin.
The artist paints large pictures in multiple layers, mostly on wood. Her works are in a long process of gathering and connecting of images. This Wasmuht give the viewer the illusion of perspective space - on closer inspection can accurately crafted details are recognized.
Since 2006, Corinne Wasmuth is a professor at the State Academy of Fine Arts in Karlsruhe.
