Corinth Morter Lewis

Corinth Morter Lewis is University Professor at the University of Belize in Central America, Belize.

In 2003, she was interim President of the University and was officially sworn in as the second President 2004. Lewis has graduated from the University of Alberta in teaching psychology. She began her career at the Belize Technical College and then taught at the Belize College of Arts, Science & Technology, University College, and the Belize Teachers' College before coming to the University of Belize. She then worked as a consultant for the Ministry of Education of Belize and was chairman of the National Arts Council ' ( Arts Council ) in Belize.

Since 2005 she has also been a member of the Governing Council of the International Institute for Higher Education in Latin America and the Caribbean ( IESALC ), an organization of UNESCO.
