Corinthia Hotel Khartoum

The Burj Al- Fateh Hotel is a five - star hotel in the center of Khartoum, capital of Sudan. It lies on the banks of the Blue Nile, next to the Friendship Hall of Khartum and the Tuti Bridge.

The 19 -storey hotel was completed in 2007 and opened in January 2009. It was built and financed by a Libyan state-owned company. The cost of construction amounted to 80 million U.S. dollars.

The building has a curved oval facade that will fit the shapes of a Dau. The appearance is sometimes seen as a rough imitation of the Burj al-Arab. The inhabitants have given him the nickname " Khartoum- egg ".
