Cork Film Festival

The Cork Film Festival is a film festival held annually in Cork, Ireland. It was founded in 1956 and has become an internationally renowned festival, especially in the short film developed.

The Cork Film Festival is one of Europe's oldest festivals celebrated in November 2010 its 55th anniversary. In 2007 it was renamed in Corona Cork Film Festival, to the sponsorship was withdrawn in 2012. The program is made up of a broad mix of blockbusters, foreign films, independent films, documentaries and short films from around the world. The festival offering a broad platform for the Irish film. Since 1956 the festival has grown both in the number of performances, visitors and media coverage. The festival thus achieved a steadily growing interest of filmmakers, film professionals and the general public. Until March 2013 was Mick Hannigan Festival Director and CEO for almost 30 years. Una Feely was also until March 2013 creative director of the festival. Currently, Séan Kelly Manager of the Cork Film Festival.
