Corncob

The corn cob is a part of the corncob. On it the corn kernels arranged in rows, they completely cover. Plants Physiologically it is to be regarded as the thickened main axis of the ear of corn cob. Their appearance is similar to the spindle of a loom, which explains its name. The spindle makes up about 10 % of the mass of a corn plant. The corn cob is included as feed in the so-called corn-cob - mix (CCM).

Corn cob granules are used to absorb fluids, grinding and polishing of materials or as litter in poultry feed.
