Cornelius Boersch

Conny (* April 11, 1968 in Hannover ) is a German entrepreneur and angel investor.

Life

He studied business administration at the European Business School in Oestrich- angle as well as the Paris Business School and the University of Colorado. Since 1992, Conny has been an entrepreneur in Germany. During his studies he founded his first company, which later the smart card and RFID Broker manufacturers developed ACG AG, which in 1999 at the now-defunct Neuer Markt ( NEMAX 50) was listed.

After he had retired from business operations of ACG AG, he worked as an investment manager in venture capital. Conny is an internationally active business angel, investing primarily in young internet companies. In the past he was investing in German startups, such as Alando.de, the predecessor of Ebay Germany, the Scout group or Smartrac. In 2004 he founded together with Daniel S. Wenzel, Mountain Partners Group, an alternative asset management group, which holds approximately 200 holdings at the time, mainly in fast-growing, young companies. Known current holdings amounting to Conny BuyVIP and Yasni. Current Investments are focused on cleantech and Renewable Energy, Internet, Security, Life Sciences and RFID.

Conny has released a total of four books which deal with topics from everyday life of a manager. All united in the book title, the word "Summa Summarum ", such as " The Summa Summarum of success" or " The Summa Summarum of health". Together with Guido Westerwelle, he published in 2009 " The Summa Summarum politics and economy."

Boersch the FDP has donated over 160,000 euros and Guido Westerwelle accompanied on several trips abroad (Estonia, Japan and China).

Honors and Awards

1998 doctorate Conny on " Co-operative Banks and Venture Capital" at the European Business School.

In 2009 he was chosen by the European Trade Association for Business Angels and Early Stage Investors ( EBAN ) zumBusiness Angel of the Year.
