Cornelius Johnson (athlete)

Cornelius Johnson ( Cornelius Cooper " Corny " Johnson ;) ( born August 21, 1913 in Los Angeles, California, † February 15, 1946 in San Francisco) was an American high jumper and Olympic champion.

At the Olympic Games in 1932 in his hometown of Los Angeles, he took fourth place after he had missed a medal in the jump. In the years 1932-1936 he was continuously AAU champion.
