Corniculate cartilages

The cartilage corniculata ( tip cartilage, Squirrel cartilage or cartilage - Santorini ) is a small cartilage at the tip of the arytenoid cartilage. It is located in the fold between the arytenoid cartilage and epiglottis ( aryepiglottic fold ). The cartilage corniculata is made of elastic cartilage. At laryngoscopy the tip cartilage is ( corniculatum tubercle ) as roundish tubercles in this fold visible.
