Corona (Band)

Corona is an Italian Euro dance act that was known mainly with the voice of Sandra ( "Sandy" ) Chambers. In addition to Corona, she sang for many other Italian dancefloor projects (including JK, Benassi Bros. ) As in the 1990s, not uncommon, was hired as the face and figurehead of the project a model. In the case of Corona it was the Brazilian Olga de Souza (born 16 July 1968 in Rio de Janeiro). Produced by Francesco Bontempi (better known as Lee Marrow ), they succeeded with Rhythm of the Night in December 1993 a hit, who was for 13 weeks as the number one in the Italian charts. The vocals for this song is from Giovanna Bersola. A year later, Sandra Chambers took over all vocal parts and it was followed by baby baby, and in July 1995 Try Me Out and eventually I Do not Wanna Be a Star. More singles in 1997 and 2000 were no longer able to build on the initial success.

After Bontempi since 2000 lead the producer Francesco Conte and Paolo Dughero continue with more moderate success and a different musical style the corona Act. Supposedly, Olga de Souza sings this itself

In 2012, the German Dance Project Cascada published its own version of The Rhythm of the Night, also achieving the charts.
