The new Estadio Corona - Corona German Stadium - is a football stadium in Torreón, Coahuila, Mexico. It acts since November 2009 as the home stadium of the football club Santos Laguna and triggers in this capacity, the former Estadio Corona from.

The stadium is the most important building of a new housing estate Territorio Santos Modelo with the name. With this choice of words, the close cooperation between the football club Santos Laguna and the mighty brewer Grupo Modelo will be highlighted. Both the new and the old stadium are named after the best-selling beer brand in this group: Corona.

Was designed the sports venue of the HKS Inc., an international architecture firm headquartered in Dallas, Texas, USA. Her work includes, for example, the Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis and the new Cowboys Stadium in Arlington.

The stadium opening

The first competitive match

The first competitive match at the new Estadio Corona took place on November 15, 2009 instead of the last game in the league game round of the Apertura 2009, between Santos Laguna and Club América.
