Corpus Fontium Historiae Byzantinae

The Corpus Historiae Fontium Byzantinae ( CFHB ) is an international joint project to develop, edit and comment on the historical sources of the Byzantine history between the 4th and 15th centuries. The aim of these publications is to make modern research the works of historical authors in edited form accessible. The originally proposed by Berthold Rubin corpus has been published since 1967 under the overall direction of the " Association Internationale des Études Byzantines " ( AIEB ) or their national branches.

Books and series

Each individual volume, there are introductory remarks about the author of the source, to the surviving manuscripts and the actual, translated and annotated text. In addition to the translation and the original text and some facsimiles shall be accompanied by often. The volumes of the CFHB, classified according to their publication in various national series:
