Corrugator supercilii muscle

The musculus corrugator supercilii ( " Stirnrunzler ", literally " runzler the eyebrow ") is a skin muscle in the region of the eyebrow ( supercilium ) and belongs to the facial muscles. He is in man a small band of muscle, which is located on the inside of the eyebrow between musculus frontalis and orbicularis oculi. The muscle originates at the supraorbital arch ( arcus superciliaris ) and is applied to the skin of the forehead close to the eyebrows. The muscle draws the eyebrow downward and inward and also produced so that the wrinkling of the forehead.
