Corse-du-Sud

The French department of Corse- du- Sud [ kɔʀzdysyd ] ( Corsica ) is south of the Mediterranean island of Corsica and is referred to in the alphabetical order of the departments as No. 20a.

It was founded on 15 September 1975, when the island of Corsica was divided into two departments. Since the license plate 20 1975 the former common Corse department corresponded to the department of Corse- du- Sud was the hallmark 2A assigned (Haute -Corse: 2B). The Corsican license plate thus do not correspond to the typology of the French Department. The Département appropriate Postleitzahlenpräfix 20 was being maintained, the third digit was, however, ( with the exception of Ajaccio and post special services such as the army base in Solenzara ) is set to 1 ( and in Haute -Corse, etc.) on the 2 ), which some had to change the result.
