Cory Gardner

Cory Gardner ( born August 22, 1974 in Yuma, Yuma County, Colorado) is an American politician. Since 2011 he represents the state of Colorado in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

Cory Gardner attended until 1997, the Colorado State University in Fort Collins. Then he studied until 2001 at the University of Colorado at Boulder Law. Politically, he joined the Republican Party. Between 2002 and 2005 he worked for U.S. Senator Wayne Allard; 2005-2010 he was a deputy in the House of Representatives from Colorado. There he was a member of the Education Committee, the Agriculture Committee and the Legislative Council.

In the congressional elections of 2010, Gardner was in the fourth electoral district of Colorado in the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington DC chosen, where he became the successor of him previously defeated Democrat Betsy Markey on January 3, 2011. Gardner is a member of the Committee on Energy and Commerce as well as in three sub-committees. Within the party he belongs to the conservative Republican Study Committee.

In the congressional elections in 2012 Gardner sat down with 58:37 percent of the vote against the Democrats by Brandon Shaffer.
