Cossano Belbo

Cossano Belbo ( Piedmontese Cossan to Belb ) is a municipality with 999 inhabitants (as at 31 December 2012) in the Italian province of Cuneo (CN ), Region Piedmont.

Geography

The village is located about 60 km southeast of Turin on Belbo in the river system of the Po. The municipality covers an area of ​​20 km ².

The neighboring municipalities are Camo, Cessole, Loazzolo, mango, Rocchetta Belbo Santo Stefano Belbo and Vesime.

Specialty in viticulture

In Cossano Belbo vines are grown for Dolcetto d' Alba, a red wine with DOC status. The berries of the grape varieties Pinot Noir and Chardonnay may be processed for sparkling wine Alta Langa. The Muscat grape for the Asti Spumante, a sweet DOCG sparkling wine with low alcohol content, as well as for the still wine Moscato d' Asti is also grown here.
