Costa Cordalis
Costa Cordalis; actually Konstantinos Kordalis ( born May 1, 1944 in Elatia ( Ελάτεια ), Fthiotida, Greece), is a German pop singer of Greek descent.
Career
With seven years Cordalis guitar began to play. As a 16 - year-old he settled in Frankfurt am Main and studied at the Goethe Institute, the German language. After high school he began studying philosophy and German, which he has not completed.
Already in 1965, came up with You've got tears in my eyes, a German version of the Elvis song Crying In The Chapel, his first record out. He had any appreciable success but only after 1973 with the self-produced tracks Carolina, come and climb into the boat tonight, Anna Lena.
He had his greatest success from 1976 to 1977, entitled Anita, the three months remained in the German Top 10 and made it there at # 3.
In the Nordic World Ski Championships 1985 in Seefeld in Tirol Cordalis launched in long run for his country, Greece. In this discipline, he was twice Greek national champion. He wanted to participate in the 1984 Winter Olympics in Sarajevo, but failed to qualify.
In the spring of 2004, he starred in the RTL show I'm a Celebrity - Get Me Out of Here! with and was " king of the jungle ". The prize money of 28,000 euros, he donated to the Children's Cancer Aid. Based on the show, he released the song Jungle Beat.
Until a few years ago he took part each year in the Tour of Hope. There he put the wheel back many miles and collected with his song The Fire money for children with cancer.
Costa Cordalis is married and has three children with his wife, his son Lucas Cordalis and his daughter Angeliki Cordalis are also active in show business.
