Costabissara

Costabissara is a Northeast Italian municipality ( comune ) with 7291 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the province of Vicenza in the Veneto region. The community is located about 6 kilometers north-west of the city center vicenza. From here, the Orolo flows into the Bacchiglione.

History

The origins of the community are unknown. From the 11th century a fief Costabissara is verified, the came in possession of the Maltraverso family. The Castello Sforzesco Colleoni was built in the 12th century.
