Costamere

Costamere (from Latin Costa rib ) are protein complexes, its role in striated muscle is to ensure that created by the contraction of sarcomeres transmission of myofibrils to the extracellular matrix.

Involved in the related proteins are integrin, vinculin, talin and FAK ( focal adhesion kinase ).

Apart from the more focally concentrated transfer structures of Costamere still exists, another transfer option on the fine-meshed network of dystrophin proteins, which link actin filaments with the localized in the cell wall Sarcoglykanen.
