Cosumnes River AVA

Cosumnes River AVA ( recognized since July 17, 2006) is an American Viticultural Area in the U.S. state of California. The area extends over the two administrative areas of San Joaquin County and for the most part of Sacramento County. The protected designation of origin is a subzone of the parent Lodi AVA. The area is located at a height of 2 m (5 ft) to 15 m above sea level. NN. The frequent fog, which keeps for a long time in these lowlands, causes that the Cosumnes River AVA is the coolest area within Lodi.
