Coublanc (Haute-Marne)

Coublanc is a commune of 125 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Haute -Marne, in the Champagne -Ardenne region.

Geography

Coublanc is located on the southeastern edge of the Champagne -Ardenne region in the district of Langres, near the border with the neighboring region of Franche -Comté. The Haute- Saône is immediately adjacent to the church. The river runs east parlor of the church main town. Here cross each other, the department streets D7 and D122.

History

Coublanc is an ancient village. It is a stage on the Via Francigena. The population was on the decline since the French Revolution. During 1800 another 500 inhabitants were counted, the population went after the Second World War back to below 200 inhabitants.
