Council of European Aerospace Societies

The Council of European Aerospace Societies (CEAS ) was formed in 1993 as an association of the European aeronautics and aerospace companies in recognition of the increasingly important international nature of air and space industry. Initially established in 1993 as an alliance in 2003 it was transformed into a Council to create with the intention of enhanced cooperation, a legal status and a better use of resources of the participating companies. Currently includes more than 25,000 members from over 10 organizations to CEAS.

In addition, the CEAS organizer of the International Conference of the European Aerospace societies is (in short: CEAS with year ), which is organized every two years by a full member. So the CEAS 2007 was in Berlin, organized by the German Society for Aeronautics and Astronautics. 2009 the CEAS in Manchester, 2011 in Venice instead.
