Counterparts is the title of the 15th studio album, the Canadian rock band Rush has published in October 1993.

In Counterparts clearly shows the return to a gitarrenlastigeren sound that has been taken with the album Presto began. Although synthesizers are used in most songs, they are not nearly as strong as represented on albums like power windows or Hold Your Fire.

As for the songs themselves Rush orient one hand to the predecessors Presto and Roll the Bones, but they suggest partly also a new direction. So the song has an unusual Stick It Out for Rush up to this point hardness. With Nobody's Hero is again a ballad here, stretching from the style of The Pass ( Presto) and Bravado ( Roll The Bones ) inspired. Leave alone did Thing is an instrumental piece.
